TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE MILLIONPOUNDTREASUREHUNT.COM COMPETITION
- This
competition is open to all persons aged 18 and over except the
Promoter’s employees or members of their immediate family, agents or any
other person who is connected with the creation or administration of
this competition.
- By
entering this competition the entrant will be deemed to have read and
understood these rules and to be bound by them and by any other
requirements set out in any related promotional material. The
competition is governed by English Law and any matters relating to the
competition will be resolved under English Law and the Courts of England
shall have exclusive jurisdiction. In the event of playing this
competition online, by accepting these terms and conditions you confirm
that you are not breaching any laws in your country of residence
regarding the legality of entering our competitions. The Promoter will
not be held responsible for any entrant entering any of our competitions
unlawfully. If in any doubt you should immediately leave the website and
check with the relevant authorities in your country.
- (a)
To play the competition online, follow the on-screen instructions and
play the competition as outlined in (a). The competition will finish
when a registered player enters the winning code. Each player must
register only once per treasure hunt game. If a player wins a game and
is found to have registered more than once in that game, they will be
deemed ineligible to collect the winners prize. In the event of a winner
being deemed ineligible to collect the winners prize. The game will end
and the prize will be added to the next game prize fund.
- The
winner will be contacted by the promoter at the address or telephone
number given in the contact details within 7 days of the closing date of
the relevant competition.
- The
winner will be required to send a copy of their passport to the Promoter
to confirm their identity, age and also proof of address before any
prize will be paid or delivered. The winner will also be required to
provide photographs for use in future marketing by the Promoter.
Following receipt and verification of the details above by the Promoter,
the winner will be contacted in order to make arrangements for receipt
of the prize.
- The
winner will receive the prize stated on the website as the ‘Current
Jackpot’ at the time of the winning code entry into the competition
database.
- There
will be a minimum prize fund level of £10,000.
- The
minimum prize fund level will be used to guarantee a minimum jackpot of
£10,000 to the winner of the millionpoundtreasurehunt (subject to proof
of identity).
- The
winner must arrange for collection of the prize money within 90 days of
a winning code entry notification. After this time, the prize will be no
longer available to the competition winner and retained by the promoter.
- Acceptance
of the prize by the winner gives the Promoter the right to use the
prize-winner’s name, personal photograph and home country for
promotional purposes, both immediately after their win and in the
future, unless prohibited by law.
- The
Promoter reserves the right to cancel any competition, for any reason,
before the winning code has been entered into the database by a
competitor.
- No
responsibility will be accepted for failed, partial or garbled computer
transmissions, for any computer, telephone, cable, network, electronic
or internet hardware or software malfunctions, failures, connections,
availability, for the acts or omissions of any service provider,
internet, accessibility or availability or for traffic congestion or
unauthorised human act.
- Data
Protection Notice: Any personal data that you supply to the Promoter or
authorise the Promoter to obtain from a third party, for example, a
credit card company, will be used by the Promoter (i) to administer the
competition; and (ii) (unless you tell us that you prefer not to receive
direct marketing) to contact you about other competitions or about other
goods and services which the Promoter considers may be of interest to
you.
In order to process, record and use your personal data the Promoter
may disclose it to (i) any credit card company whose name you give; (ii) any
organisation (whether or not connected to the Promoter) for the purpose of
bringing to your attention goods and services which the Promoter considers
may be of interest to you; (iii) any person to whom the Promoter proposes to
transfer any of the Promoter's rights and/or responsibilities under any
agreement the Promoter may have with you; (iv) any person to whom the
Promoter proposes to transfer its business or any part of it; (v) comply with
any legal or regulatory requirement of the Promoter in any country; and (vi)
prevent, detect or prosecute fraud and other crime.
In order to process, use, record and disclose your personal data the
Promoter may need to transfer such information outside the United Kingdom, in
which event the Promoter is responsible for ensuring that your personal data
continues to be adequately protected during the course of such transfer.
The promoter
reserves the right to investigate how a winning code was determined by the
winning participant if suspicion of hacking and/ or unlawful practices arise.
The promoter reserves the right to withhold the prize until all questions
relating to an investigation are answered to a satisfactory level which is to
be determined by the promoter.
